Build a beautiful card using the glazing technique, where you layer watercolour washes to create depth and sophistication. Perfect for wedding invitations or elegant greetings, this technique involves multiple applications of colour to achieve a refined, multi-tonal effect.

Prepare your watercolour palette with your chosen colours and create a puddle of colour by adding water.

Dip your artwork into the colour puddle, pushing it in gently to pick up the pigment.

Dry this first layer completely using a heat gun.

Create a second colour puddle with less water for a stronger pigment concentration.

Tipps aus der Show

Use less water in your puddle for the second application to create a stronger colour intensity.
Allow each layer to dry completely before applying the next to prevent muddying the colours.
The glazing technique works beautifully with rose gold, copper and purple colour combinations for wedding invitations.
