Embossed Floral Card with Ink Pad Colour Accents

Create a textured card using an embossing folder, then add soft colour accents with ink pads to highlight specific areas. Paint small animal stamps with watercolours and layer them with sequins for a charming, colourful design.

Schritt für Schritt

1. Place card into an embossing folder and run it through a die-cutting machine to create raised texture. ▶ watch 33:45
2. Use purple ink pad to gently rub colour onto the raised flower areas of the embossed card. ▶ watch 34:00
3. Use blue ink pad to add colour to the square areas of the embossed design. ▶ watch 34:30
4. Use green ink pad to add colour to the leaf areas, aligning roughly with where the leaves appear in the design. ▶ watch 34:45
5. Run the inked embossed card through a heat gun to set the colour. ▶ watch 35:30
6. Glue the embossed panel onto a blue card blank. ▶ watch 36:15
7. Activate watercolour paints with water and paint a pink nose onto a small cow stamp. ▶ watch 38:00
8. Paint a brown rabbit stamp with watercolour, adding darker shading for depth. ▶ watch 39:45
9. Add a bell detail to the cow with watercolour paint. ▶ watch 40:15
10. Heat-set the painted stamps to ensure they are dry. ▶ watch 42:15
11. Die-cut the painted animal stamps and sentiment using coordinating nesting dies. ▶ watch 43:30
12. Attach foam pads to the back of the sentiment and position it in the centre of the card. ▶ watch 44:15
13. Attach the cow stamp to the bottom of the card with foam pads. ▶ watch 46:15
14. Attach the rabbit stamp to the top of the card with foam pads. ▶ watch 46:45
15. Scatter blue sequins into the centre of the embossed flowers for sparkle. ▶ watch 47:00

Tipps aus der Show

• Add a touch of grey, purple or blue very lightly to white areas to make them look white rather than leaving them blank.
• You can use either the raised or shallow parts of the embossing folder to apply ink colour.
• Semi-moist watercolours are already pre-mixed and create a creamy texture when activated with water.
