Create a luxurious mini card featuring a thick gold embossed panel with a stamped floral design that resembles a wax seal. The technique involves layering embossing powder multiple times and stamping into the warm emboss to create a dimensional, textured focal point.

Schritt für Schritt

1. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 5 by 4 inches for your mini card base. ▶ watch 9:00
2. Cut a smaller piece of white card to sit in the centre with a nice outline border. ▶ watch 9:15
3. Apply sticky ink pad to the centre card panel, pressing down firmly to get good coverage. ▶ watch 9:45
4. Sprinkle gold embossing powder generously over the inked panel and tap off excess. ▶ watch 10:15
5. Heat set the embossing powder with a heat gun until it melts and becomes shiny. ▶ watch 12:00
6. Let the embossed panel cool for about two seconds, then quickly press your floral stamp into the warm emboss. ▶ watch 12:30
7. If the stamp impression isn't clear enough, melt the embossing powder back down with your heat gun and try again. ▶ watch 13:00
8. Apply another layer of sticky ink pad over the entire panel to build up thickness. ▶ watch 13:15
9. Add more gold embossing powder and heat set again. ▶ watch 13:30
10. Repeat the stamping process into the warm emboss, applying pressure to create a clear impression. ▶ watch 17:00
11. Trim the embossed panel with a trimmer to neaten the edges and remove any imperfections. ▶ watch 23:30
12. Mount the embossed panel onto a piece of white cardstock using glue and tape for secure adhesion. ▶ watch 24:30

Tipps aus der Show

• Don't press your stamp straight into red-hot embossing powder; wait about two seconds for it to cool slightly first.
• If you make a mistake, simply melt the embossing powder back down with your heat gun and try again.
• Practice this technique on stamps you don't care about before trying it on your favourite stamps.
