Create a stunning watercolour-effect card using a two-part lamination stamp system. The design features a sketched floral element stamped in multiple colours that blend together when sprayed with water, creating a realistic artistic finish with a sentiment banner accent.

Schritt für Schritt

1. Stamp the outline portion of the lamination stamp onto the right-hand side of your card using coloured ink pads rather than black or grey. ▶ watch 1:15
2. Apply green ink to the solid green parts of the design, then add a red or pink colour to the flower details. ▶ watch 1:45
3. Enhance the design by stamping again with a darker colour on the flower to add more depth and detail. ▶ watch 2:15
4. Remove the outline stamp and line up the solid portion of the lamination stamp over your first stamped image, referring to the packaging guide if needed. ▶ watch 2:45
5. Colour the solid stamp portion using a light colour on the flower and different shades of green elsewhere, adding touches of purple to enhance the flower. ▶ watch 3:15
6. Spray the entire stamped design with water to allow the colours to bleed and blend together, creating a realistic watercolour finish. ▶ watch 3:45
7. Stamp a sentiment phrase onto a separate piece of card using black ink. ▶ watch 4:45
8. Cut the sentiment into a banner or tab shape using scissors. ▶ watch 5:15
9. Cut a foam pad in half and attach it to the back of the sentiment banner to add dimension to your card. ▶ watch 5:30
10. Mount the watercolour stamped element onto white card stock, then attach this to a coloured card base. ▶ watch 6:00
11. Position the sentiment banner down the side of the card, ensuring it is as straight as possible. ▶ watch 6:30
12. Add sparkle to the design using a sparkle pen to catch the light and enhance the overall effect. ▶ watch 6:45

Tipps aus der Show

• You can start with either the outline or solid portion of the stamp – you will get results either way.
• The imperfect alignment of the two stamp portions creates the true artistic feel of the card.
• If you prefer a flat card, you can skip the foam pad dimension step entirely.
