Stencil Slider with Rotating Embellishment

Create an interactive slider card with a rotating embellishment using the star stencil. The embellishment moves within a window, revealing different designs as you rotate it, and is held in place with a magnet and brad.

Schritt für Schritt

1. Create a square background using the stencil and easy blend inks, selecting every second design to create a two-toned pattern ▶ watch 1:02:00
2. Spray the background with water to reactivate and blend the inks together ▶ watch 1:02:30
3. Cut out the stencilled background piece carefully ▶ watch 1:03:00
4. Create a separate embellishment by stencilling the star design onto card and cutting it out ▶ watch 1:04:00
5. Cut small slits down from the top of the embellishment between the design sections to allow it to curl ▶ watch 1:04:30
6. Curl the cut sections slightly to create dimension ▶ watch 1:06:00
7. Apply glue to the tips of each curled section and press them together to form a 3D flower or star shape ▶ watch 1:06:30
8. Attach a 2p coin to the back of the embellishment and a magnet to the back of the base card ▶ watch 1:08:00
9. Position the embellishment in the centre of the base card so the magnet holds it in place ▶ watch 1:08:30
10. Rotate the embellishment to reveal different designs and positions ▶ watch 1:09:00

Tipps aus der Show

• The magnet allows the embellishment to be removed and repositioned, making it interactive
• You can use a brad or other fastener instead of a magnet if preferred
