Watercolour Floral Card with Blooming Marvellous Stamp

Create a loose, artistic watercolour-effect card using the two-part lamination stamp. Stamp the solid colour portion first with water spray, then layer the outline stamp to achieve a painted, impressionistic look with soft colour bleeding.

Schritt für Schritt

1. Place watercolour cardstock into your craft mat or work surface. ▶ watch 14:30
2. Apply bright pink and purple ink to your ink pads, positioning them on the cardstock where you want colour. ▶ watch 14:45
3. Spray the inked area lightly with water using a spray bottle. ▶ watch 15:00
4. Stamp the solid portion of the Blooming Marvellous stamp onto the wet, coloured cardstock. ▶ watch 15:15
5. Allow the card to dry slightly, then position the outline stamp over the coloured area. ▶ watch 15:45
6. Stamp the outline portion in black ink to define the flower shapes. ▶ watch 16:00
7. Apply green ink to the base of the design and spray lightly with water. ▶ watch 16:30
8. Stamp the green portion of the outline to add stems and leaves. ▶ watch 17:00
9. Use a damp brush to smooth out any large colour blobs and add shading to the leaves. ▶ watch 17:45
10. Add splats of colour around the design using your ink pads for extra artistic effect. ▶ watch 18:00
11. Mount the finished artwork onto a coordinating card base using glue. ▶ watch 22:30
12. Stamp the sentiment from the set onto the card and add sparkle or sequins for embellishment. ▶ watch 23:00

Tipps aus der Show

• The less water you use, the more precise the design will be; more water creates a looser, more watercolour effect.
• Use the packaging as a guide to see where the second stamp layer should align.
• You can enhance the design afterwards with a white gel pen or black fine liner to add details or borders.
