Un proyecto de nuestro programa en directo Stamping Techniques - Lamination Stamp - Bleaching Texture - Blending Techniques 22 dic 21 · 22/12/2021
Create a stunning watercolour-style dress card using a two-part lamination stamp system. The project features a blended teal halo background that draws the eye to the centre, with a detailed dress stamp layered on top for a realistic artistic finish.
Take a blending brush and load it with teal-coloured ink from a distress ink pad.
Create a halo effect around the outskirts of your white cardstock by blending the teal ink around the edges to soften the harsh edges.
Load your blending brush with a darker shade of similar colour and blend it around the outer edge to draw the eye towards the centre of the card.
Blend the second colour so it doesn't extend as far inward, creating a soft ombre halo effect.
Add a few drops of water onto the halo using a wet brush to bleach out the colour and create texture in the background.
Allow the water to activate the colour, then dry it off to lift out the colour and add dimension to the background.
Stamp the solid portion of the dress stamp onto your cardstock using the teal and darker shade colours, placing them in most areas and around the dress shape.
Spray water onto the inked cardstock to create a watercolour effect, allowing the ink to blend and disperse for a wet design appearance.
Allow the cardstock to absorb the ink, then remove the stamp to reveal the watercolour element of the design.
Position the detailed outline portion of the lamination stamp on top of the coloured dress and stamp it down, allowing the imprecise alignment to create a realistic artistic effect.
Stamp a sentiment such as 'Strong is the new pretty' onto the card in black ink.
Mount the completed design onto a card base, pressing down firmly to secure it without leaving fingerprints.
