Decorated Gift Bag with Coloured Decals

Transform a plain paper bag into a beautiful gift by applying coloured floral decals. This quick project shows how to use the decals on fabric and paper surfaces to create an instant decorated gift bag.

Passo dopo passo

1. Select a plain paper bag and choose a coloured floral decal design. ▶ watch 42:45
2. Fussy cut the decal to a size suitable for your bag if the full design is too large. ▶ watch 43:00
3. Position the decal face down on the corner of the bag. ▶ watch 43:30
4. Spray water onto the back of the decal to activate the transfer. ▶ watch 44:00
5. Push the decal down firmly with your finger to ensure good adhesion. ▶ watch 44:15
6. Lift the carrier sheet away to reveal the transferred image. ▶ watch 44:30
7. Apply a second decal piece to another area of the bag to create a more decorated look. ▶ watch 45:15
8. Push any overhanging edges of the decal around the edge of the bag for a neat finish. ▶ watch 45:45
9. Add a washi tape sentiment strip to complete the decorated gift bag. ▶ watch 46:30

Consigli dalla puntata

• Do not worry if your bag gets a little wet during the transfer process; it will dry.
• You can colour the decals with pens, alcohol markers or sparkle pens if desired.
• The decals work on many surfaces including bags, tags, books and MDF pieces.
