About UNDERGLAZE PENCIL

Underglaze pencils are specialist tools for ceramic painters and pottery crafters who want to add detailed, coloured designs to their pieces before firing. If you're decorating pottery, tiles or other ceramic items with precision, this category has what you need.

Our underglaze pencil range includes six vibrant colours: yellow, rose, green, brown, blue and black. These pencils allow you to draw, sketch and add fine details directly onto your ceramic pieces. Many crafters use them to create intricate patterns, personalised designs, hand-lettered text or delicate illustrations on plates, bowls, tiles and decorative ceramics. The colour range means you can blend and layer shades to build depth and complexity in your designs.

When choosing your colours, think about the final look you want to achieve and whether you'll be combining multiple pencils in one piece. It's worth testing your design on a spare ceramic offcut first, so you can see how the colours appear before you commit to your main project. Keep your pencil tips sharp for the finest detail work.
