Interactive Z-Fold Card with Hidden Message and Belly Band

An interactive shaped card featuring a Z-fold design with a hidden sentiment underneath a decorative flap. The card includes stamped panels with florals and a house motif, coloured with watercolour paints, and is finished with a coordinating belly band that slides on and off.

Schritt für Schritt

1. Start with a top-folding note card, 8 by 6 inches, and score it down the middle. ▶ watch 7:15
2. Cut three card panels to layer onto the card base and metallic card stock. ▶ watch 8:15
3. Stamp the half-vars floral design down the side of the first panel in black ink. ▶ watch 9:30
4. Stamp the same half-vars design on a second panel in the same position. ▶ watch 11:00
5. Stamp individual flowers from the floral stamp set on the left and right sides of a third panel. ▶ watch 12:45
6. Create a Z-fold interactive flap by scoring a 6 by 5 inch panel with a hinge at the top. ▶ watch 16:15
7. Stamp the house design from the Happy Home stamp set onto the Z-fold panel. ▶ watch 17:00
8. Colour the stamped florals randomly with watercolour paint, leaving white spaces for realism. ▶ watch 24:45
9. Glue the stamped panels onto the metallic card base, layering them to create dimension. ▶ watch 27:00
10. Cut a belly band from A4 card, approximately 1.5 inches wide, and score it gently. ▶ watch 29:15
11. Glue the belly band around the card with a small gap so it slides freely. ▶ watch 31:00
12. Stamp and fussy-cut a decorative element to attach to the belly band. ▶ watch 34:45
13. Stamp 'Home Sweet Home' sentiment on a small panel and attach it to the front of the card. ▶ watch 37:45

Tipps aus der Show

• Don't glue the belly band too tightly; leave a little sliding grace so recipients can remove it easily.
• Use off-cuts from your card stock to create coordinating panels and reduce waste.
• Colour randomly and leave white spaces in the flowers for a more realistic, sketchy look.
