Clean and Simple Painted House Card with Hidden Message

A striking card featuring the Happy Home stamp with hand-painted neon flowers and a hidden 'You and Me' message that only appears when the card is tilted. The design combines watercolour painting with die-cut layering for a modern, interactive greeting card.

Schritt für Schritt

1. Stamp the house design from the Happy Home stamp onto white card using black ink. ▶ watch 4:15
2. Wet your watercolour paints with water to prepare them, and dampen your mat or use clean water in a jar. ▶ watch 6:15
3. Paint the flower elements with neon green watercolour, using just a small amount as the pigment is highly concentrated. ▶ watch 7:30
4. Paint the remaining flowers with neon pink and orange watercolours, leaving the house unpainted in black and white. ▶ watch 10:00
5. Dry the painted card completely using a heat gun. ▶ watch 12:15
6. Apply a soft wash of orange ink around the entire edge of the card using a damp brush with minimal ink loaded. ▶ watch 14:00
7. Tilt an ink pad at an angle and edge the card all the way around to create a defined border. ▶ watch 16:30
8. Die-cut the word 'You and Me' from your design using the You and Me die, positioning it through the stamped design. ▶ watch 18:00
9. Cut four additional 'You and Me' words from white card to create a layered, 3D embellishment. ▶ watch 21:00
10. Stack and glue the four white die-cut words together, then glue the design-cut word on top to create dimension. ▶ watch 22:30
11. Layer your painted card onto white card, then onto another white card to create clean white borders. ▶ watch 24:00
12. Adhere the layered painted card to your top-folding note card base. ▶ watch 25:30
13. Position the 3D 'You and Me' embellishment in the gap at the top of the card so the message is hidden until tilted. ▶ watch 26:00
14. Add clear sparkles around the design using a pickup tool for extra embellishment. ▶ watch 28:00

Tipps aus der Show

• The neon watercolours are highly pigmented, so use only a tiny amount to avoid needing multiple layers.
• You can dilute the neon paints down to a paler colour if you prefer a softer look.
• If you don't have the You and Me die, use any word die from your stash to create the hidden message effect.
