Create a borderless shaker card using clear acetate windows that require no foam pads or faffing. The card features a crystal-clear shaker window with sequins and embellishments sealed inside, giving a professional shop-finish appearance with a slight dome effect.

Schritt für Schritt

1. Cut your card stock approximately 1mm smaller than the acetate window size to allow for easy wrapping. ▶ watch 48:00
2. Select a piece of patterned paper and cut it to fit inside the card. ▶ watch 48:15
3. Burnish the score line on the acetate window to create a crisp, seamless fold without cloudiness. ▶ watch 49:15
4. Peel away the protective film from one side of the acetate, being careful not to touch the surface with your fingers. ▶ watch 50:00
5. Pull the protective film away from the edges to avoid scratches or fingerprints on the acetate. ▶ watch 50:15
6. Insert your patterned card inside the acetate window. ▶ watch 51:00
7. Remove the tape backing from one side and line it up inside the window square. ▶ watch 51:15
8. Fold down the first side and press firmly, as the tape is very strong and will grip immediately. ▶ watch 51:30
9. Fold down three sides of the acetate, leaving the longer wider side open to reduce spillage risk. ▶ watch 52:00
10. Tip your chosen embellishments (sequins, beads, or glitter) into the open pocket. ▶ watch 52:15
11. Seal the final side by removing the tape backing and pressing down firmly. ▶ watch 52:45
12. Remove the protective film from the front of the acetate to reveal the crystal-clear shaker window. ▶ watch 53:30

Tipps aus der Show

• Give the score line a good burnish before wrapping to ensure it folds smoothly around your card.
• If you have tremor or crampy hands, leave the longer wider side open last to reduce the chance of spilling embellishments.
• Add an anti-static bag to the paper inside if you don't want glitter to stick as much to the card.
