Create a sparkling gingerbread man hanging decoration using crystal art techniques. This festive double-sided MDF ornament features warm brown tones with red and green crystal embellishments, perfect for your Christmas tree or as a special gift tag. The project involves carefully placing colourful crystals onto a pre-cut gingerbread shape to create a dazzling seasonal keepsake.

Schritt für Schritt

1. 

   Keep the protective film on the MDF Christmas tree decoration to protect the adhesive layer underneath. This will be removed when you're ready to apply the crystals.

   Load your crystal pen by pressing the tip into the jelly wax twice to ensure it is fully coated. This will allow the pen to pick up the crystals effectively.

   Peel back the protective film on the jelly wax pad. Press the pen tip into the wax to pick up a small amount. Replace the film over the wax when finished to prevent it from drying out.

   Match the letter or number on each crystal circle to the corresponding crystal pack. Check the reference chart to identify which crystals you need for each section of your gingerbread design.

   Use scissors to carefully cut the perforated crystals from the sheet rather than pulling them apart. This prevents damage to the individual crystals and ensures clean edges.

   Pour the red crystals into the white tray and give it a gentle shake so the ridges flip them shiny-side up.

   Lightly tap each crystal onto the glue at the matching positions on the gingerbread tree decoration, working one colour at a time. Use the applicator tool to pick up and place the crystals accurately.

   When placing crystals, keep your fingers on the protective film rather than touching the adhesive surface directly. This prevents removing glue from areas that still need to be filled with crystals.

   Lay the protective film back over the gingerbread decoration. Press down gently across the entire surface to secure all the crystals firmly in place.

    Remember these decorations are double-sided, so complete both sides of the gingerbread man decoration with the crystals following the same pattern.

    Thread the included string through the hole at the top of the MDF decoration to create a hanging loop for displaying your finished crystal art gingerbread keepsake.

Tipps aus der Show

• Keep the protective film on the glue at all times to maintain tackiness.
• The lighter your touch when placing crystals, the longer your jelly wax will last.
• Work one colour at a time or complete one decoration at a time, whichever you prefer.
