Design an elegant card using a cherry blossom stencil with pink and turquoise inking, finished with a glittery border and sentiment. The stencil technique creates beautiful, professional-looking results without requiring advanced skills.

Schritt für Schritt

1. Place your cherry blossom stencil on your card base. ▶ watch 40:00
2. Brush pink ink through the stencil, applying colour more vibrant at the edges and fading towards the centre. ▶ watch 40:15
3. Brush the colour downwards to the bottom of the stencil. ▶ watch 40:30
4. Add turquoise ink to the fan element of the stencil, brushing upwards to break up the design. ▶ watch 41:15
5. Carefully remove the stencil to reveal the finished background. ▶ watch 41:45
6. Mount the stencilled background onto black card as a matte layer. ▶ watch 42:00
7. Mount the black layer onto your card base. ▶ watch 42:15
8. Cut a rectangle for your sentiment panel. ▶ watch 42:45
9. Stamp 'you make me happy' in black ink on the sentiment rectangle. ▶ watch 42:45
10. Attach the sentiment panel to the card. ▶ watch 43:00
11. Run pink ink around the edges of the sentiment panel to create a vibrant border. ▶ watch 43:15
12. Apply glue around the edge of the sentiment panel. ▶ watch 43:45
13. Sprinkle frosted glitter onto the glued edge and tap off the excess. ▶ watch 44:00
14. Tuck a feather behind the sentiment panel to add dimension. ▶ watch 45:30
15. Add a pre-coloured geisha girl element to the card. ▶ watch 46:00
16. Add a touch of pink ink to the geisha element to tie in the colours. ▶ watch 46:15

Tipps aus der Show

• Stencils are perfect for beginners as they give instant impact and allow you to colour blend easily.
• You can fussy cut the stencilled elements with scissors after stencilling for additional detail.
• Foam pads work well for mounting, though silicon-based adhesives can give you more height and angling options.
