Quick-Dry Ink Layered Background with Primary Colours

Create a vibrant, multi-coloured background using the QD quick-dry inks in primary colours. Layer yellow, pink, blue and black to create secondary colour blends (orange, green, purple) that dry instantly, allowing you to die-cut immediately.

Schritt für Schritt

1. Spray the yellow QD ink across your card in a horizontal line. ▶ watch 10:45
2. Observe that the yellow dries instantly to the card surface. ▶ watch 11:00
3. Spray the pink QD ink over the top of the yellow to create orange tones where the colours overlap. ▶ watch 11:15
4. Spray the blue QD ink across the card, creating green tones where it overlaps the yellow and purple tones where it overlaps the pink. ▶ watch 11:30
5. Apply the midnight black QD ink to cover the entire card with one solid colour if desired. ▶ watch 11:45
6. Note that the card surface is now practically dry despite feeling slightly damp inside the fibres. ▶ watch 12:00
7. Feed the still-slightly-damp card through your die-cutting machine to cut shapes without waiting for full drying time. ▶ watch 12:15

Tipps aus der Show

• The alcohol blend in QD inks aids the quick-drying process, so the card is ready to die-cut almost immediately.
• The inside fibres remain slightly damp, which helps the card feed through die-cutting machines more easily.
