A striking card featuring hand-drawn style bamboo stalks and crane silhouettes stamped in grey and black inks on textured paper. The design creates an elegant, artistic effect reminiscent of traditional Chinese brush painting, with layered stamping that builds depth and shadow.

Schritt für Schritt

1. Place your textured cardstock onto the stamping platform to secure it. ▶ watch 6:45
2. Ink the large bamboo stamp with smoky grey ink, ensuring good coverage, then press firmly onto the left side of your card. ▶ watch 7:00
3. Lift the stamp and reposition it lower on the card, pressing down to create a secondary, slightly lighter impression for shadow effect. ▶ watch 7:15
4. Flip the card around and repeat the bamboo stamping on the bottom section with the same grey ink. ▶ watch 7:30
5. Use the bamboo stamp upside down in the corners to create decorative corner details. ▶ watch 8:00
6. Ink only the sun portion of the large crane stamp with grenadine (sunset colour) ink, being careful not to ink the crane details. ▶ watch 8:15
7. Press the stamp down firmly to transfer the coloured sun, then lift carefully. ▶ watch 8:30
8. Re-ink just the crane details with black ink and stamp over the same area to create a layered effect. ▶ watch 8:45
9. Stamp additional crane details in black ink in other areas of the design for balance. ▶ watch 9:00
10. Go around the entire edge of the card with black ink and the bamboo stamp to frame and define the design. ▶ watch 10:15

Tipps aus der Show

• Using textured paper breaks up the image and adds visual interest to the stamped design.
• Sumi paper (Japanese writing paper) would work exceptionally well with this oriental-themed collection.
• If the black ink goes slightly beyond the cardstock edge, it adds to the vintage, artistic feel rather than detracting from it.
