A beautiful card featuring a hand-coloured rose stamp with watercolour inks, layered with an ornate die-cut frame and sentiment. The design uses soft colour blending to create a vintage, elegant look with light and shade effects.
Cut the watercolour card using the deco plate die through your die-cutting machine.
Apply dye ink in orange and green directly onto the large stamp, then spritz lightly with water to blend the colours together.
Press the stamp onto the die-cut watercolour piece using the Eureka stamp press, applying even pressure.
Dab away excess wet ink with a paper towel to control the colour saturation.
Re-ink the stamp with the same colours and press again to add more depth and detail to the stamped image.
Use a waterproof grey ink to stamp over the coloured areas, creating a vintage, layered effect as the inks mix.
Paint in fine details using a paint brush and stamps by me paint to add shading around the rose petals and frame.
Add extra antique detailing by painting directly onto the matte glass mat and then pressing the card onto it for subtle edge colouring.
Stamp the sentiment 'Find beauty in the small things' in a darker brown ink onto the centre of the design.
Cut two pieces of brown card to create the ornate frame backing, scoring and folding one to create a card blank.
Glue the stamped and coloured piece to the brown card backing, leaving the ornate edges slightly raised using foam pads for dimension.
