Stencilled Star Background Card with Elephant

Glue a glitter background panel onto your card blank as the front layer.

Apply low-tack masking tape over the sentiment area to protect it from spray.

Apply a third strip of masking tape over the joint to prevent spray seeping through.

Shake the Izink spray well to disperse the iridescent pigment into the liquid.

Place a stencil over the top half of the card and spray the Izink from a height, then allow to dry.

Cover the sprayed top half with card and reposition the stencil to spray the bottom half.

Use a heat gun to dry the spray, then carefully remove the masking tape to reveal a crisp sentiment area.

Stamp the sentiment onto the protected white strip using black Versafine ink.

Apply glitter embossing powder to the stamped sentiment and heat emboss to create an iridescent effect.

Round the corners of the card using a corner punch.

Lightly ink the edges of the card with the same green ink pad used for the sentiment to soften the white edges.

Attach foam pads to the back of the stamped sentiment panel and adhere it to the card base.

Stamp the elephant character onto watercolour card using black Versafine ink.

Watercolour the elephant with grey, darker tones and pink to bring it to life.

Heat dry the watercoloured elephant, then die-cut it using the complementary outline die.

Attach foam pads to the elephant and position it in the centre of the star effect on the card.
