Wine Glass Foiled Card with Lamination Stamp

Create a striking foiled wine glass card using a two-part lamination stamp with vibrant inks and WOW foiling technique. The design features artistic splats and bold colours that give a modern, celebratory look without needing an expensive foiling machine.

Step by step

1. Cut a piece of smooth white card stock to your desired size. ▶ watch 17:00
2. Ink up the solid portion of the lamination stamp with orange and blue ink pads, dotting colour randomly across the design. ▶ watch 19:45
3. Spray the inked stamp generously with water to activate the inks. ▶ watch 21:30
4. Press the stamp firmly onto the card and lift away to reveal the coloured design. ▶ watch 21:45
5. Allow the card to dry completely, then use a heat gun to ensure all moisture is gone. ▶ watch 22:15
6. Dust the dried design with an anti-static bag to remove any residual moisture. ▶ watch 24:00
7. Align and press the detailed outline stamp portion onto the card. ▶ watch 24:45
8. Ink the detailed stamp with sticky WOW ink pad, stamping twice to ensure full coverage. ▶ watch 26:45
9. Heat the sticky powder with a heat gun until it becomes shiny and tacky. ▶ watch 28:00
10. Cut a piece of copper foil to size and place it colour-side up onto the heated powder. ▶ watch 30:30
11. Burnish the foil gently with your finger to transfer the metallic finish onto the design. ▶ watch 31:00
12. Peel away the foil backing to reveal the finished foiled image. ▶ watch 32:00

Tips from the show

• Ensure the card is completely dry before applying foil, as any moisture will cause the foil to stick unevenly and create blobs.
• Hold the card with a peg or your hand whilst heating rather than on a glass mat, so heat can escape from the base and give better results.
• If you miss an area when foiling, you can reheat the bonding powder and apply foil again to that spot.
