A project from our live show FUNKY TUESDAY - Join the awesome Sarah from Funky Fossil for her latest products and inspiration - Broadcast 5th July 22 · 05/07/2022 · watch it from 41:00

Design a delicate garden-themed card using stencil work with distress oxide inks, layered with micro pearl powder for subtle shimmer. The card features a soft background created by moving the stencil around the card and leaving white space in the centre for focal points.

Step by step

  1. Position the Beauty's Garden stencil on your card base and lightly apply salvage patina distress oxide ink. ▶ watch 41:00
  2. Move the stencil around the card, applying ink in different positions to create a scattered background pattern. ▶ watch 43:30

  4. Apply micro pearl powder over the wet distress oxide ink using a soft brush with a pouncing motion. ▶ watch 46:00
  5. Allow the micro pearls to dry completely, then gently dust away any excess powder. ▶ watch 47:00
