Buttercup Slimline Card with Coloured Sentiment

A tall, slimline card featuring beautiful buttercup flowers with large open spaces perfect for colouring. The card uses a coordinating die-cut sentiment with a layered 3D effect.

Step by step

1. Stamp the buttercup design down the side of your slimline card in black ink. ▶ watch 43:00
2. Colour the buttercup flowers using your preferred medium, enjoying the large open spaces. ▶ watch 43:30
3. Prepare your 'As If' die-cut sentiment by inking the solid portion in a colour like purple. ▶ watch 44:00
4. Die-cut the solid coloured portion and the white outline portion separately. ▶ watch 44:15
5. Layer the white outline die-cut seamlessly on top of the coloured portion to create a 3D effect. ▶ watch 44:30
6. Stamp your chosen word or sentiment in the centre of the layered die-cut. ▶ watch 45:00
7. Adhere the completed sentiment to your card. ▶ watch 45:30

Tips from the show

• Slimline cards fit into DL envelopes, making them perfect for posting.
• The large open spaces in the buttercup design encourage you to experiment with colour.
• You can use the frames as a border around your design rather than as a full frame.
