Step by step

  1. Place the first numbered stencil (number facing you) on white cardstock. ▶ watch 52:30
  2. Apply ink directly from an ink pad through the stencil by pushing the pad through, or use a sponge dauber to pounce colour onto the card. ▶ watch 53:00
  3. Tidy the edges with a sponge dauber if desired to remove any white gaps around the stencil. ▶ watch 54:00
  4. Position the second numbered stencil on top, aligning carefully with the design underneath. ▶ watch 54:45
  5. Apply a second colour through the stencil using an ink pad or sponge dauber. ▶ watch 55:15
  6. Position the third numbered stencil and apply a darker shade of ink, or layer a contrasting colour like blue over red to create a burgundy effect. ▶ watch 56:00
  7. Add shadow and dimension by applying a darker shade of green to just the edges of the leaf areas rather than the entire stencil. ▶ watch 57:00
  8. Position the fourth and final stencil layer on top. ▶ watch 1:00:00
  9. Use an izink Touch stick to pounce gold or metallic colour onto the leaf details, using a gentle bouncing motion rather than dragging. ▶ watch 1:00:30
  10. Apply a dark blue or black ink through the stencil to create the dark centres of the poppy flower. ▶ watch 1:03:00
  11. Optionally pop the coordinating die around the design to cut it out, or leave as a stencilled piece. ▶ watch 1:04:30
  12. Add a sentiment like 'Woohoo' or 'Bravo' to complete the card. ▶ watch 1:05:00
