Pigment Ink Stencilled Card with Pencil Colouring

Create a card using pigment ink stencilling on coloured card stock, then add coloured pencil details on top. The white pigment ink shows beautifully on darker card, and pencils layer perfectly over the dried ink.

Step by step

1. Place a stencil on sage green or other coloured card stock. ▶ watch 34:00
2. Apply white or pale pigment ink through the stencil. ▶ watch 34:15
3. Remove the stencil and allow the ink to dry completely. ▶ watch 34:30
4. Use coloured pencils to add shading and detail over the pigment ink design. ▶ watch 34:45
5. Blend the pencil colours gently to create a soft, layered effect. ▶ watch 35:00

Tips from the show

• Pigment inks show beautifully on coloured card stock, unlike dye-based inks.
