A project from our live show Join Toni for Anything Goes Wednesday broadcast 16th Feb · 16/02/2022
Create a stunning dimensional flower by die-cutting the same petal design multiple times in different sizes and layering them together. This technique produces a beautiful focal point suitable for cards, layouts or as a standalone embellishment.
Select the Build-a-Flower die set and choose one of the four flower designs.
Cut the largest size of the petal design from white cardstock.
Cut the same design again in the next size down from your cardstock.
Continue cutting progressively smaller versions of the same petal design.
Cut the smallest size to complete your layering sequence.
Optionally cut one of the background element designs in a contrasting colour such as gold.
Apply glue to the back of the largest petal layer and position it as your base.
Layer the medium-sized petals on top, offsetting them slightly for dimension.
Add the smaller petal layers, continuing to offset each layer.
Allow the glue to set between layers so the flower holds its shape.
Optionally shape the petals by gently curling or bending them upwards for added dimension.
Share your make with the Stamps By Me community - and keep this guide for next time.
