3D Dimensional Candle Decoration with Die-Cut Flowers

Create dimensional paper flowers using die-cut elements and layer them onto a decorated candle with ribbon and stamped embellishments. This technique transforms simple die cuts into sculptural flowers by twisting and shaping the pieces.

Step by step

1. Die-cut the build a bloom flower elements three times each to create multiple layers. ▶ watch 42:15
2. Twist and shape each die-cut layer to create a dimensional, three-dimensional flower form. ▶ watch 42:45
3. Remove the stamen or wire elements from the centre of each flower. ▶ watch 43:15
4. Wrap ribbon or twine around the candle to create a decorative band. ▶ watch 43:45
5. Use a hot glue gun to attach the dimensional flowers to the ribbon on the candle. ▶ watch 44:00
6. Die-cut the fancy flowers design and fold it in half to create a decorative accent. ▶ watch 44:30
7. Stamp words or sentiments onto white card and layer them onto black card for contrast. ▶ watch 45:00
8. Attach the stamped sentiment to the candle decoration using glue. ▶ watch 45:30

Tips from the show

• You don't need to cut two die cuts—just cut one and fold it in half for the fancy flowers design.
• Mix and match your colours to coordinate with the stamped elements on the candle wrap.
• Create coordinating tissue paper by stamping it with the same stamps used on the candle wrap for a complete gift presentation.
