Circular Wreath Card Using Stamp Ring with Small Floral Stamps

A project from our live show CATCH UP with PEARLYWINKS CREATIVE STENCILS LAUNCH in the HTCN studio broadcast 21st Jan 22 · 21/01/2022 · watch it from 23:00

Simon demonstrates how to use the Stamp A Ring stencil to create a perfectly symmetrical circular wreath pattern. By rotating the card and stamping at alternating positions, you build a beautiful ring of small floral elements that would be impossible to achieve freehand.

Step by step

  1. Cut your card to just under 5 inches square and slot it into the centre of the stamp ring stencil. ▶ watch 23:30
  2. Ink up your small floral stamp and align it between the top point of the stencil so it stays centred as you rotate. ▶ watch 24:00
  3. Stamp the first position, then turn the card one quarter turn to the next corner position. ▶ watch 26:30
  4. For smaller stamps, stamp every single position; for larger stamps, skip every other position to avoid overlapping. ▶ watch 27:00
  5. Continue rotating and stamping around the entire ring until you return to the starting point. ▶ watch 29:00
  6. Once you complete the outer ring, you can fill in the gaps by rotating the card to intermediate positions if desired. ▶ watch 29:15
  7. Mount the finished background onto contrasting card stock to complete the design. ▶ watch 30:00
