Sketched Feet and Legs Sentiment Card with Alcohol Markers

Create a striking card featuring a sketched design of feet and legs stamped in smoky grey, with a positive sentiment stamped in black. Colour selectively with red alcohol markers for the shoes and blue for the trousers, leaving white spaces for a clean, simple aesthetic that really stands out.

Step by step

1. Mount the smaller stamp from the set onto an acrylic block. ▶ watch 1:00
2. Stamp the feet and legs design onto cardstock using a smoky grey ink pad rather than traditional black. ▶ watch 1:15
3. Select a positive sentiment from the same stamp set and mount it onto the acrylic block. ▶ watch 1:45
4. Stamp the sentiment onto the cardstock in black ink so it stands out prominently. ▶ watch 2:00
5. Take a red alcohol marker and colour the base of the shoes, following the design lines up each shoe. ▶ watch 2:30
6. Use a blue ink pad to add colour to the tops of the trousers, creating the appearance of jeans or flowing trousers. ▶ watch 3:30
7. Leave white spaces in the design to create the illusion of light on the back of the jeans. ▶ watch 3:45
8. Glue the stamped and coloured design onto the front of a card with a red coral matte layer. ▶ watch 4:30
9. Enhance the design by going around the edge with a fine liner pen to add creative detail and frame the artwork. ▶ watch 5:00
10. Repeat the fine liner detail along all four sides of the design, varying the pattern so the sides don't match exactly. ▶ watch 5:30
11. Add stitch detail here and there with the fine liner to break up solid lines. ▶ watch 5:45
12. Optional: Apply glossy accents to the base of the shoes to create a shiny finish. ▶ watch 6:00
