A project from our live show CATCH UP with Toni for the SATURDAY LAUNCH in the HTCN studio broadcast 6th Nov 21 · 06/11/2021
Create a beautiful shaped card using nesting dies to build dimensional layers. This project demonstrates how to use the A5 nesting dies to create an aperture-style card with coordinating paper panels, foliage elements, and embellishments for a finished floral design.
Select the largest nesting die from the bundle and cut two pieces from white cardstock.
Score a line across the top of one white piece to create a fold for the card base.
Adhere the scored piece to the back of your card blank using glue, aligning it at the base.
Cut a piece of patterned paper using the next size down nesting die to create a layered background panel.
Use the smaller nesting dies to cut additional layers in coordinating cardstock colours for depth.
Cut foliage and floral elements from patterned paper to add detail to your design.
Adhere your patterned paper panel to the white matte layer using glue.
Pop the layered frame onto foam pads to create dimension on your card.
Arrange and adhere your foliage and floral die-cut elements within the frame.
Add a washi tape sentiment banner across the card for a finishing touch.
Embellish with sequins or sparkle to complete your card design.
Share your make with the Stamps By Me community - and keep this guide for next time.
