Heat-Embossed Floral Image with Mixed Metallic Powders

Create a richly textured heat-embossed image by combining gold and black embossing powders on a single stamp. The layered effect produces a dimensional, grunge-style finish with raised metallic details.

Stap voor stap

1. Cut a piece of white cardstock to use as your card base. ▶ watch 50:15
2. Stamp a floral image onto the white cardstock using the sticky ink pad. ▶ watch 50:30
3. Sprinkle the ultra-high metallic gold embossing powder from the large jar over the entire stamped image. ▶ watch 51:15
4. Sprinkle black embossing powder over select areas of the same image for a mixed-colour effect. ▶ watch 52:30
5. Heat-set both powders together using the heat tool, moving it across the image until all powder is melted and shiny. ▶ watch 53:00
6. Allow the embossed image to cool completely before handling. ▶ watch 54:00

Tips uit de show

• The ultra-high metallic gold powder creates a particularly thick, raised embossing effect similar to an embossing folder.
• Combining two different coloured powders on the same stamp creates a grunge or mixed-media aesthetic with the black picking up different areas of the design.
