Step by step

  1. Cut two large petal pieces and two smaller petal pieces from the Gerbera daisy die set. ▶ watch 18:00
  2. Colour both the front and back of all four petal pieces with pink alcohol ink, working from the inside outward. ▶ watch 18:30
  3. Mist the coloured petals lightly with water using a spray bottle to activate the paper. ▶ watch 20:00
  4. Pinch each petal gently with tweezers close to the centre to create natural curves and dimension. ▶ watch 20:15
  5. Use a medium ball stylus to cup and shape the petals on a molding mat. ▶ watch 21:00
  6. Cut three centre pieces and colour them with a lighter pink shade for contrast. ▶ watch 21:30
  7. Bend the centre pieces around and cup them with a small ball stylus. ▶ watch 22:00
  8. Assemble the flower by offsetting petals on top of each other using clear-drying glue, starting with the largest petals. ▶ watch 23:00
  9. Add the smaller centre pieces on top, offsetting them for a full, realistic appearance. ▶ watch 24:00
  10. Once dry, add small pearl embellishments to the centre to create a hard, shiny finish like a real daisy. ▶ watch 25:00
  11. Create two circular card bases by cutting with round dies, folding in half and burnishing the fold. ▶ watch 27:45
  12. Emboss a Renaissance wallpaper pattern onto the larger circle base. ▶ watch 28:15
  13. Score a one-by-four-inch strip of cardstock at one-inch intervals and fold into a W-shaped bridge to stabilise the rocker card. ▶ watch 28:45
  14. Glue the W-bridge inside the rocker card to prevent it from separating. ▶ watch 29:30
  15. Arrange foliage (such as Ostrich fern) on the card base to frame the flower. ▶ watch 30:00
  16. Glue the completed daisy flower onto the card, positioning it centrally over the embossed pattern. ▶ watch 31:00
