Daffodil Stamped Card with Halo Effect

A simple spring card featuring stamped daffodils with a black halo effect and optional gel pen details. The design is classic and elegant, perfect for any occasion with its bright, cheerful appearance.

Step by step

1. Stamp the daffodil design from the A5 stamp set onto white card using black ink. ▶ watch 16:45
2. Add a halo of black ink around the stamped daffodils using an ink pad and blending technique. ▶ watch 17:00
3. Use a gel pen to add sparkle and detail to any areas where you've lost detail from stamping. ▶ watch 17:15
4. Layer the stamped design onto a black card base for contrast. ▶ watch 17:30
5. Add a strip of patterned paper from the Oxford Blue collection as a design breaker across the card. ▶ watch 18:00
6. Adhere the layered design to the card base using foam pads for dimension. ▶ watch 18:15

Tips from the show

• You don't have to colour the daffodils if you're not confident as a colourist; simply adding a halo effect creates a lovely finished look.
• The uncoated paper from the collection carries ink beautifully and blends well for creating halos.
• You can use strips and spots papers from the collection to break up pattern and create matten layers.
