Layered Stencil Floral Card with Sadie

Create a beautiful multi-layered card using the Sadie stamp and stencil system with coordinating dies. Build up colour and detail through four numbered stencil layers, finishing with sparkly paste for a glamorous effect.

Step by step

1. Place stencil number one on your card base and line it up using the heart guides in the corners. ▶ watch 28:00
2. Apply pink ink through stencil one using an ink pad, pressing firmly to transfer the colour. ▶ watch 28:15
3. Line up stencil number two using the heart registration marks and apply a darker purple or coordinating ink colour. ▶ watch 31:00
4. Position stencil number three and apply green ink to add foliage and depth to your design. ▶ watch 31:45
5. For the final layer, swap to sparkly paste instead of ink and apply it through stencil number four using a spatula. ▶ watch 32:45
6. Allow the sparkly paste to dry completely before handling the card. ▶ watch 33:30
7. Trim away any excess card around the stencilled design using a craft trimmer. ▶ watch 34:00
8. Mount the finished stencilled panel onto a card base to complete your design. ▶ watch 34:30

Tips from the show

• Don't be afraid to use different media through the stencils—acrylic paints, sparkly pastes and inks all work beautifully.
• The stencils are high quality and durable; you can wash them under a tap and they won't be damaged.
• Line up the heart guides in the corners of each stencil to ensure perfect registration between layers.
