Window Detail Card with Layered Shadows

Create a card with subtle depth by stamping a cabin scene, then adding a black ink shadow to highlight a window detail. This technique creates a sense of looking into the scene and adds visual interest through layered shadows.

You will need

Step by step

1. Stamp your cabin design onto a coloured background card. ▶ watch 54:45
2. Trim the stamped image to your desired size and shape. ▶ watch 55:00
3. Apply black ink around a specific window area to create a shadow effect and draw attention to that detail. ▶ watch 55:15
4. Mount the trimmed and detailed piece onto a contrasting card blank. ▶ watch 55:30
5. Add any additional details such as gel pen highlights if desired. ▶ watch 55:45

Tips from the show
