Reflection Landscape Card with Framed Scene

Create a beautiful card featuring a couple on a bench with a reflective landscape using the Reflection stamp set. The design combines water-reactive inks with stencil framing to build atmospheric depth and tell a romantic story.

Step by step

1. Prepare your card base and apply a sunset-inspired colour wash using water-reactive inks in yellow, orange and warm tones, blending them together on your white cardstock. ▶ watch 28:00
2. Add depth to your sunset by applying a darker ink around the edges with a brush, creating a vignette effect that frames the central scene. ▶ watch 30:00
3. Position the Stylized Frame stencil (#3) on your card as an aperture to frame your focal point. ▶ watch 31:00
4. Stamp the couple from the Better Together set (#1) within the stencil frame, positioning them to appear as if sitting on a bench overlooking the landscape. ▶ watch 34:30
5. Stamp the reflective tree design below the couple to create the water reflection effect, showing the scene mirrored in the water below. ▶ watch 36:00
6. Add white ink highlights to the sunset area to suggest light catching the water's surface and creating sparkle effects. ▶ watch 39:00
7. Apply your chosen Sparkle pen (clear ink with coloured sparkle) over the tree or water area to add subtle shimmer that catches the light when the card is moved. ▶ watch 40:00
8. Add a sentiment or greeting to complete your card, keeping the focus on the beautiful landscape scene you've created. ▶ watch 44:00

Tips from the show

• You don't have to use the reflection element of the stamp—you can use just the couple or just the tree as standalone images if preferred.
• The stencil can be used as an aperture frame, or you can stamp inside or outside it for different effects.
• Water-reactive inks blend beautifully, so take your time building up the colour gradually for a more natural sunset effect.
