Circular Shaker Card with Money Insert

Create a unique circular shaker card using the four-inch circle acetate window. This project demonstrates how to make a circular shaker without a die, and how to insert a gift card or money inside.

Step by step

1. Fold all the teeth on the circular shaker window inward. ▶ watch 26:30
2. Place the circular window on top of a patterned paper design from the paper pad. ▶ watch 26:45
3. Draw around the circle using a pencil if you don't have a four-inch circle die. ▶ watch 27:00
4. Cut out the circle carefully. ▶ watch 27:15
5. Place shaker embellishments inside the window first, before sealing. ▶ watch 28:00
6. Insert a five pound note or gift card into the shaker. ▶ watch 28:30
7. Apply tape to the back of the circular window. ▶ watch 29:00
8. Fold each tooth around the edge of the card base to seal. ▶ watch 29:30
9. Press down firmly to secure all teeth to the card. ▶ watch 30:00

Tips from the show

• The circular shaker has teeth all the way around, so applying tape to each individual tooth is time-consuming; instead, apply one strip of tape to the back of the circle and stick it down.
• You can create a circular design without a die by using a pencil to trace around the window.
