Mounted Embossed Leaf Card with Sentiment

Finish your embossed leaf design by mounting it onto a coloured card base and adding a washi tape sentiment strip to complete a beautiful handmade card.

Step by step

1. Prepare a black or coloured card panel to use as your mounting base. ▶ watch 29:00
2. Apply glue generously to the back of your embossed leaf piece. ▶ watch 31:00
3. Press the embossed leaf firmly onto the coloured card panel, holding it in place. ▶ watch 31:30
4. Allow the glue to dry completely under a block. ▶ watch 32:00
5. Cut a washi tape sentiment strip to size. ▶ watch 32:30
6. Apply the washi tape sentiment across the lower portion of the card. ▶ watch 33:00
7. Mount the finished panel onto your card blank. ▶ watch 43:00
8. Allow all glue to dry completely before sending or displaying. ▶ watch 44:00

Tips from the show

• Use plenty of glue when mounting embossed pieces as they can be thick and may lift.
• Washi tape sentiments add a nice finishing touch without needing additional stamping.
