Step by step

  1. Secure your first layering stencil (marked with number 1) to your card using magnets or tape, aligning the heart registration marks. ▶ watch 25:00
  2. Apply your first ink colour to the stencil using a dabber or brush, working from the edges inward to avoid excess ink. ▶ watch 26:00
  3. Lift the stencil carefully and line up the second stencil (marked number 2) using the heart guides. ▶ watch 26:30
  4. Apply a darker shade of the same colour to deepen the layered effect, building dimension gradually. ▶ watch 27:00
  5. Position the third stencil layer and apply a contrasting colour for the foliage elements. ▶ watch 27:45
  6. Apply the fourth stencil layer with a darker green, varying the ink coverage to create natural-looking shading. ▶ watch 28:30
  7. Align and apply the final detail stencil with a darker shade to add definition to the flower centres and leaf details. ▶ watch 29:00
