Mini Book Insert for Album Pockets

A small folded booklet made from offcut cardstock that fits inside the main album's pockets. It features internal pockets of its own and rounded corners, creating a layered, interactive element within your larger giftable.

Step by step

1. Cut a piece of cardstock to approximately 8 inches in length using a guillotine. ▶ watch 26:45
2. Score the card in half at 4 inches using a scoreboard to create a centre fold. ▶ watch 27:00
3. Score additional lines about 1 inch from the top edge to mark where internal pockets will be created. ▶ watch 27:15
4. Cut from the top edge down to the centre fold line using scissors to create pocket flaps. ▶ watch 27:45
5. Fold the card in half along the main score line. ▶ watch 28:00
6. Use a corner punch to round off the corners of the booklet for a finished look. ▶ watch 28:30
7. Adhere a decorative topper or patterned paper to the front cover to hide any text that may be upside down. ▶ watch 29:00

Tips from the show

• Round the corners of both the front cover and the pocket edges for a professional finish.
