Step by step

  1. Stamp the Typical Me image onto white card stock using Versafine Clay ink, pressing down firmly three to four times to ensure full coverage of the black details on the hat and bodice. ▶ watch 17:15
  2. Colour the stamped image using alcohol markers in your chosen colours, working loosely and allowing colours to blend naturally. ▶ watch 18:15
  3. Add highlights and details using a white gel pen, particularly around the eyes, lips and any areas where light would catch. ▶ watch 18:30
  4. Create a loose watercolour background on stamp board by spraying blue, ocean and yellow dye inks onto a glass mat, adding water and blending the colours together. ▶ watch 18:45
  5. Mount the coloured portrait onto the watercolour background using foam pads for dimension. ▶ watch 19:00
  6. Add your pre-coloured sentiment 'Always Be Kind' to the card, trimming the edges neatly by nicking into the corners for a professional finish. ▶ watch 19:15
  7. Embellish with string pearls, placing one as an earring detail on the portrait for added elegance. ▶ watch 22:30
