Watercolour Fashionista Card with Sketchy Details

Create an elegant card featuring a fashionista stamp with a sketchy dress design. Layer a watercolour background with the outline stamp, then add loose watercolour details to the dress for a sophisticated, artistic look that celebrates the character's flowing gown.

Step by step

1. Select your fashionista stamp with the sketchy dress design and ink it with green tones to step outside your usual colour comfort zone. ▶ watch 44:45
2. Spritz the inked stamp lightly with water to create a watercolour effect. ▶ watch 45:00
3. Press the stamp onto watercolour cardstock, allowing the water to blend the colours naturally. ▶ watch 45:15
4. Remove excess water with a tissue to control the watercolour spread. ▶ watch 45:45
5. Layer the detailed outline stamp on top of the watercolour background, positioning it to show the dress flow. ▶ watch 46:00
6. Add loose watercolour paint details to the dress using a brush, keeping the application very loose and artistic. ▶ watch 46:30
7. Paint the character's skin tone lightly with watercolour, keeping it minimal and sketchy. ▶ watch 47:00
8. Dry the card with a heat tool if needed. ▶ watch 47:30
9. Mount the finished design onto cardstock using dry glue or adhesive. ▶ watch 48:00
10. Add optional embellishments such as glitter to enhance the glamorous feel. ▶ watch 48:30
