Envelope Album with Whispering Wings Collection

Create a multi-page envelope album using waste envelopes and the Whispering Wings paper collection. This charming keepsake features pockets, fold-out pages, and decorative layers that can hold cards, photos, or gift cards.

Step by step

1. Take two envelopes and glue the flaps together to create your first page. ▶ watch 36:15
2. Insert a second envelope inside the first one and glue it in place to create a nested page. ▶ watch 36:45
3. Take a third envelope, seal it shut to create a pocket, then glue it inside the album. ▶ watch 37:30
4. Score one side of an envelope to create a hinge, then fold it over and glue inside a pocket to create a tab. ▶ watch 38:00
5. Glue your chosen Whispering Wings paper to the front envelope as a cover, ensuring it sits flat on the 5x7 mount. ▶ watch 39:00
6. Cut coordinating paper down the centre to create belly bands for the inside pages. ▶ watch 46:00
7. Glue belly bands horizontally across your pages, positioning them at the top and bottom to frame the pockets. ▶ watch 48:00
8. Fussy cut fairy toppers and other embellishments from the paper collection, then layer them over the pages with foam pads for dimension. ▶ watch 49:15
9. Insert decorative cards or photos into the pockets you've created throughout the album. ▶ watch 51:30
10. Add a pull-out card or gift card to the top tab pocket so it extends above the album edge. ▶ watch 52:00

Tips from the show

• Use the thick postcard-like mounts from the paper collection to create sturdy bases for your pages.
• Fill the pockets with handmade cards or photos to make the album a special keepsake gift.
• You can add a ribbon closure or magnet closure to keep the album closed when not in use.
