Teal Embossed Typewriter Vellum Card

Stamp the same typewriter design onto vellum using teal embossing ink and clear powder for a coloured alternative. This demonstrates how changing the ink colour creates a completely different aesthetic while using the same technique.

Step by step

1. Position a fresh piece of vellum on your work surface, placing the typewriter stamp in the same position as before. ▶ watch 10:00
2. Apply anti-static powder to prevent static cling. ▶ watch 10:15
3. Ink the typewriter stamp with the teal embossing ink pad, ensuring full coverage across all areas. ▶ watch 10:30
4. Press the stamp firmly onto the vellum with good pressure. ▶ watch 10:45
5. Remove the stamp carefully from the vellum. ▶ watch 11:00
6. Apply clear embossing powder over the teal ink. ▶ watch 11:30
7. Heat set with a heat gun, moving steadily to avoid warping. ▶ watch 12:00
8. Mount the finished embossed vellum panel onto a card base. ▶ watch 12:30

Tips from the show

• You can use coloured embossing ink pads instead of clear powder to add colour to your designs.
• The same technique works beautifully with different ink colours to create varied effects.
