A project from our live show CATCH UP on Fridays Product Launch LETS CRAFT collection 1st Oct 21 · 01/10/2021
A beautiful card featuring a watercolour background created using the snowflake die as a stencil. The technique involves applying watercolour inks through the die-cut to create a dispersed, snowy effect on the card background.
Cut the snowflake die from cardstock and set aside to use as a stencil.
Place plain cardstock on your work surface and spray it lightly with water.
Apply pink watercolour ink to the wet cardstock using a brush.
Add blue watercolour ink to create colour variation on the background.
While the cardstock is still wet, apply white ink to create a snowy dispersed effect.
Position the snowflake die-cut as a stencil over the wet background.
Pounce coloured ink through the snowflake stencil using a pouncing motion from the top.
Add additional snowflake stencil impressions in different areas of the card using the same colour palette.
Optionally, add white ink impressions over the top for extra detail.
Allow the background to dry completely before assembling the card.
