Heat-Embossed Serendipity Butterfly Mini Card

A delicate mini card featuring the Serendipity stamp heat-embossed in gold, with the centre die-cut out to create a butterfly silhouette effect. The design uses layered grey and gold card for an elegant, minimalist finish.

Step by step

  1. Stamp the Serendipity mosaic design onto gold card stock using black ink. ▶ watch 51:00
  2. Heat-emboss the stamped image with gold embossing powder to add dimension and detail to the design. ▶ watch 51:15
  3. Use a circular die cut to cut away the centre of the embossed design, creating a butterfly or openwork effect. ▶ watch 51:30
  4. Cut a grey card blank in half to create a smaller card base. ▶ watch 52:30
  5. Create a thin panel from off-cut pattern paper and adhere it to the top and bottom of the grey card. ▶ watch 53:30
  6. Trim away the excess pattern paper panel so it sits flush with the card edges. ▶ watch 54:15
  7. Adhere the die-cut embossed panel to the centre front of the card, allowing the grey base to show through the cut-out centre. ▶ watch 55:00
  8. Add a sentiment stamp to the inside of the card to complete the design. ▶ watch 55:30
