Create a charming mini album using a 6x6 inch decorative paper pad featuring beautiful floral and wave patterns in pink, blue and navy tones. This beginner-friendly project uses simple scoring, folding and gluing techniques to construct a hinged album with pockets, perfect for storing photographs, tickets and cherished mementos. The finished piece showcases coordinating patterned papers in an elegant, compact format ideal for gift-giving or personal memory keeping.
Select five sheets from your 6x6 paper pad. Choose designs you like for the front cover and interior pages.

Using a scoreboard and scoring tool, score your first sheet of patterned paper at half an inch (1.25 cm) on one side. Fold the scored edge over to create the front cover hinge.

Score a second sheet of pink striped paper at half an inch. Fold along the score line to create an interior page for your album.

Score a third sheet of paper at two inches. Glue this scored sheet onto the back of your front cover to create the first interior page.

Take another scored sheet and position it over the back panel of your album. Adhere it in place to create a pocket for storing photos or memorabilia.

Score a fifth sheet of patterned paper at half an inch to create another hinge for the back cover.

Apply glue to the back cover hinge piece. Attach it to the back of your album structure, aligning it carefully with the edge.

If using single-sided paper, cut decorative pattern paper to cover the inside panels. Glue the decorative paper strips to hide the plain backs of the panels.

Apply adhesive to the side edges of the pocket and press down firmly to secure them in place on the card base.
