Create an elegant 3D gift box with a coordinating envelope using the Stamps By Me scoring and envelope tool system. This project features a beautifully decorated box adorned with delicate floral designs in pink, orange and blue, surrounded by green foliage, with 'GREAT DAY' sentiment text. The box is assembled using precise scored folds for professional-looking results, perfect for presenting small gifts or treats.

Step by step

Place your 12 by 12 inch paper on the scoring board. Locate the XL starting line marked on the board and align your paper accordingly.

Open the exaggeration bar on your scoring tool. Score your first line by placing the paper at the starting line and taking it straight up to the point on the tool.

Rotate the paper 90 degrees. Position the scoring tool at the same XL marking on the ruler and score the second fold line straight up the paper.

Use the envelope and box tool's three punch options to create notches in the blue patterned paper. First use the punch for the nook, then the rounded edge option, and finally the punch for the box closure tie.

Fold the white paper along all the scored lines to form the 3D box structure. Work through each fold carefully to create crisp edges and ensure the box takes shape properly.

For the envelope, place the scoring tool at the first point and score along the lines following the M markings on the template.

Rotate the envelope and position it in the scoring tool. Score the second fold line in the same position as the first to create the opposite side of the envelope.

Apply adhesive to the envelope flaps and fold them together to complete the envelope. Burnish the folds with a bone folder to ensure a crisp finish.

Tips from the show

The instructions for box and envelope construction are printed on the reverse of the packaging, so you won't feel lost.
You can make nested boxes by reducing the paper size by two millimetres on each side.
The tool can also be used with fabric to create fabric boxes and envelopes.
