Step by step

  1. Stamp the Great Show character onto white or light card stock using black ink, tapping four times on blackout areas for full coverage. ▶ watch 42:45
  2. Colour the stamped character using pencils or markers to add dimension and detail to the figure. ▶ watch 43:00
  3. Apply purple and blue watercolour inks around the stamped image using Imala watercolour brushes, tapping gently on the edges and pulling the colour inward. ▶ watch 46:30
  4. Build up rich colour gradually by layering watercolour inks, working from the edges toward the centre of the design. ▶ watch 47:00
  5. Position an Imala stencil over the wet ink and secure it with a glue dot to prevent shifting. ▶ watch 47:15
  6. Splatter confetti or additional colour around the design using a fan brush loaded with watercolour ink. ▶ watch 47:45
  7. Dip a wet brush into gold pearlescent ink and apply it around the edges of the design, allowing the water to dilute and create a drip effect toward the centre. ▶ watch 48:00
  8. Allow the piece to dry completely, then flip it over to work on the reverse side. ▶ watch 49:15
  9. Mount the finished stamped panel onto a black card base with a thick white border frame. ▶ watch 50:00
  10. Adhere the framed piece to a coloured card base for the finished card. ▶ watch 50:15
