Charlotte Quattro D Coloured Bouquet Card with 3D Hair Piece

A project from our live show MONDAY PODCAST - Join me for my latest news and updates - Broadcast 25th SEPT 2023 · 25/09/2023 · watch it from 26:45

Create a romantic portrait card featuring Charlotte, a detailed lady stamp with an embossed face and hair. Colour only the bouquet in pink and purple, leave the face and hair uncoloured, then add a 3D layered hair piece for dimension and sparkle.

Step by step

  1. Die cut two identical white card shapes using the Charlotte die, cutting the outline only. ▶ watch 29:30
  2. Stamp one die cut shape with black ink using the Charlotte stamp, lining it up carefully by holding the exterior with a magnet so the die cut stays in place. ▶ watch 32:30
  3. Position the bouquet stencil on the stamped die cut, lining up the eyes and mouth as guides for correct placement. ▶ watch 36:45
  4. Apply pink ink to the bouquet area using a medium brush and pounce technique, then blend the colour. ▶ watch 37:30
  5. Apply the second stencil layer, again using the eyes and mouth as alignment guides, and add darker purple ink to create shadow and depth in the flowers. ▶ watch 38:15
  6. Apply the third stencil layer with green ink to colour the leaves and foliage in the bouquet. ▶ watch 39:45
  7. Run both die cut shapes through the 3D embossing folder, lining up the eyelashes to ensure correct placement and reveal the detailed embossed features. ▶ watch 43:45
  8. Carefully cut around a hair piece shape from one of the embossed die cuts using scissors. ▶ watch 46:30
  9. Layer the cut hair piece behind the other die cut using foam pads or glue to create a 3D effect. ▶ watch 47:30
  10. Add sparkle using a sparkle pen to enhance the finished portrait. ▶ watch 48:45
