Traditions Impasto is a collection from DecoArt designed for crafters who love working with thick, textured paint finishes. Whether you're creating dimensional card designs, mixed-media artwork or textured scrapbook elements, this range gives you the tools to add depth and visual interest to your projects.
The collection includes a beautiful selection of 4oz Traditions Impasto paints in a wide colour palette—from crisp whites and deep blacks to vibrant blues, greens, yellows, oranges, reds and earth tones like burnt sienna and raw umber. You'll also find clear texture cards that let you create raised, tactile patterns on your work. Crafters typically use impasto paints to build up layers, create bold brushstrokes, or add dimensional details that really stand out from the page.
When working with impasto products, remember that the thick consistency is perfect for creating texture, so you can apply it generously without worrying about it looking flat. Experiment with different application tools—brushes, palette knives or even sponges—to discover the effects you love best. Allow adequate drying time between layers if you're building up your design.
