Wickedly Stylish Shoe Card with Fussy-Cut Elements

A striking card using the Wickedly Stylish kit with a fussy-cut shoe topper layered with 3D foam pads. The design features a black card base with a patterned frame mat and glitter-glue edging for added sparkle.

Step by step

1. Trim a patterned frame topper from the kit to size and mount it onto a black card base. ▶ watch 37:30
2. Apply glitter glue around the edges of the frame to add sparkle and dimension. ▶ watch 39:15
3. Fussy-cut a shoe topper carefully around the outline, leaving the heel on the back panel for stability. ▶ watch 40:45
4. Blend a dark ink around the edges of the white card to remove the harsh white edge. ▶ watch 42:30
5. Apply 3D foam pads to the back of the shoe topper to raise it proud from the card. ▶ watch 43:00
6. Position the shoe topper on the card, allowing it to stand out with dimension. ▶ watch 43:45

Tips from the show

• Use a blending brush with minimal ink to soften white card edges rather than leaving them harsh.
• Apply foam pads only to the bottom layer to avoid creating a slop when layering multiple elements.
